Obituary
Kentric Warren Stubbs Robinson was born April 20, 2007, to loving parents Lauren J. Robinson and Keyatta L. Stubbs, in Jackson Mississippi. He was granted is angel wings on Easter Sunday, March 27, 2016. Kentric accepted Christ at the age of 5.
His days were spent surrounded by family and friends that Kentric had touched in some way throughout his very memorable life. Kentric's life would seen too short to many, but those who were touched by him understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. His gentle smile could melt the hearts of those around him as well as his gentle way of telling you like it is.
Kentric started his early education years at Kids Company and Mother Goose. His public school experience began at North Jackson Elementary School. Kentric was Kentric! His charm and quick thinking were always admired by the teachers and staff. They were very helpful in molding him into the little man he was.
His quest for adventure resulted in a trip he shared with his mother and others to Panama Beach, Florida to play in the ocean. His smile was as bright as the sun. His moments with his dad were grand - playing games, riding to get treats and just sharing the laughter.
He always enjoyed being picked up by his grandfather, JC, where they would go shopping for electronic toys. Their man-to-man talks were priceless. They shared a truly special bond. His bond with his grandmother, Carol, could not be touched by any. Teaching her to dance made him laugh. Len and Nikki's house was one of his favorite places to be. He loved family and friends. He would usually be the highlight of the visits.
He enjoyed riding at age 3 in the church van with Barber to pick up members for Sunday services at Flag Chapel Church. He loved attending Sunday School and praying at church with Mama Sara and Brother Ernest, his loving god-parents. Kentric enjoyed taking charge watching over the candy and cookies Mrs. Dawson had at Kid's University where Mr. Collins picked him up after school. Some childhood favorites included playing police with his cousins Mario, Lentrell and Joah. He had a brief time with Little League football team "The Bears".
He spoke always of things and places he wanted to visit. Atlanta was always mentioned. He wanted his Aunt Ida to cook him some PO-TA-TOES-he had a special way of saying it.
For the upcoming Boler and Day reunion he wanted to sign "Good Girl" by Robin Thicke with his back-up singers being his cousins, Miranda, Clarissa and Serena.
His memories will be forever cherished. Although Kentric's journey made him appear frail, he possessed strength, perseverance, and an ability to overcome incredible odds and physical challenges. With his courage he led us to believe that each day is a blessing and an opportunity to create lasting memories.
Kentric leaves to cherish his memories: his parents Lauren Robinson and Kenyatta Stubbs; grandparents, Carol and John Clay (JC) Robinson; grandmother Arlene Stubbs; great-grandparents, Bobbie and Johnny Jones, and the late Ida and Warren Todd; god-parents, Reverend and Mrs. Earnest Barber (Moma Sara); aunts, Wytisha Stubbs, Cynthia Stubbs, Arletha Stubbs; uncles, Lemuel Stubbs, Josh Russell, William Dickens, Jermey Russell, Eddie Miller; late-uncles, Carlos Gray and Elego Stubbs; sisters and brothers, Kenyetta, Kenyora Kenyen, Maleak, Keylon, Anara, Anya, Sey and Brody; great-aunt, Janet Maxwell; special cousins, London, Liberty Lentrell, Alley and Mario; and a host of other relatives and friends.
