Obituary

The Beginning Of Life

Donald Earl Manuel was born, June 4, 1964, the third son of four sons and six daughters, to the David Manuel, Jr. and Bernice Wells Manuel.  Two sisters, Electra Mae Crisler and Bessie Williams, preceded him in death.

Don attended Hardy Middle School and Callaway High School.  He enjoyed working and providing for his family.  He was formerly employed with Environment Master as a plumber.

Don was an avid hunter; where in an average season he would gain about eight to nine racks (Buck).  He was known as "The Buck Master".  His favorite football team was the New Orleans Saints.

Don joined Society Ridge Missionary Baptist Church, where he enjoyed being in the presence of his pastor, family and friends.

The Beginning Of His New Journey Was January 10, 2018

He leaves to cherish his memories:  a loving and supportive wife of twenty-nine years: Jeannette; three daughters born to this union, Jessica Burse (Eric), Jennifer and Janelle, all of Jackson, Mississippi; three grandchildren whom he was blessed to raise as his own, Cameron and Jordyn Manuel and Nazareya Burse; two sons, Kobe Ellis and Quentin Canada; four sisters, Lula Manuel of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Linda Faye, Joanne and Bertha all of Jackson, Mississippi; three brothers, Jerome (Wanda), David, III (Brenda) and Willie; mother-in-law, Lebertha Johnson; father-in-law, Henry L. Johnson, Sr (Cecil); brothers-in-law, Cleophus Crisler, Andrea, Derrick and Roderick Johnson; aunts, Mary (Gene) Wells and a host of sweet, aunts, uncles-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who love him so much.  Special memories of Don will also be treasured by:  his friend and co-worker, Dario Williams; former classmate and confidante, Elder Dexter Jerome Miggins.  Don ofter asked about one of his favorite ladies while in the hospital "Hazel".  In life we hear that a dog is a man's best friend;  this was the case of Don and his baby "Hazel".
