Mr. Jasper Lee,  funeral Services will be held on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at United Baptist Church 18085 Old Hwy 80, Edwards, MS at 11:00 a.m.  Visitation will be Friday, December 7, 2018  from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p. m. at Willis and Sons Funeral Home 5235 Robinson Rd Ext., Jackson MS.   Interment: Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery, Edwards, MS.

Obituary

A Time To Celebrate
A time to celebrate and remember the life of a beautiful, gentle, caring, and loving dad, granddad, brother, uncle, and friend. We come to celebrate the homegoing of Jasper Lee, affectionately called Tang.

A Time To Be Born
Jasper Lee was born September 26, 1950 to the late Lula and Leroy Lee of Edwards, Mississippi. He was the ninth child born into the Lee family. His grandmother, Ollie Rozell, who was instrumental in his rearing, preceded him in death.

A Time of Service
Jasper Lee confessed Christ at an early age at Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church in Edwards, Mississippi under the leadership of Reverend Almon Nelson.

Education and Employment
Jasper Lee received his early education from Edwards Junior High in Edwards, Mississippi and Hinds Country Agricultural High School in Utica, Mississippi. He was employed with Bestway Abatement Construction Company until his health failed.

A Time Of Wisdom
Jasper Lee had a love for agriculture. He loved raising hogs and chickens. He had a passion for old westerns. He was very outspoken and rendered good advice to his siblings and friends. He had a way with words.

A Time To Rest
On November 28, 2018, in Edwards, Mississippi at home, Jasper Lee transitioned to his eternal home with family by his side.

A Time To Mourn
Jasper Lee leaves to cherish his memories: one daughter, Cathy N. Carter, two grandchildren: Randolph Edwards, Jr., and JaCorey Carter; a companion of over 40 years, Vera White; children and grandchildren he reared as his own: Sandra (Terry) Woods, Doris White, Janice (Arvell) Bunch, Joseph White whom he loved dearly, Marcus White, Shaniyah White, Santagella White, Kadarius Bunch and Raven Dixon; siblings: Beatrice Nelson, Mattie Jones, Willie Rozell, James Lee, Chester (Delois) Lee, Promise (Linda) Lee, and Aaron Lee, his life long friend, Arthur Nelson; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and extended families including the Baker, Wright, Johnson, Anderson, White and Nelson families.
