Mr. Foster will be laid to rest Saturday, November 29, 2014 at United M.B. Church, Edward, MS. His services will begin at 11:00 a.m. Committal will be at Mt. Moriah Church Cemetery in Edward, MS. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, November 28, 2014 at Willis and Sons Funeral Home.

Deacon John Foster, Sr., was born on March 3, 1932 to Eli and Mattie Foster in Learned, Mississippi. Deacon Foster was preceded in death by six brothers, Samuel Foster, K.C. Foster, Lee Arthur Foster, Rayfield Foster, Willie Dale Foster and Robert James Foster; and three sisters, Curtescine Lloyd, Mary Jean Funches and Annie Mae Manyfield.
Deacon Foster is survived by : his loving wife, Mrs Virginia Foster; nine children, Ellis (Annette) Foster, Hersticene (Calvin) Marshall, John Jr. , (Alma Jean) Foster, Carolyn (Gregory) Tatum, Willie Earl (Annie) Foster, Herman Lee Foster, Jimmy Dale (Stephanie) Foster, Cornelius Randy Foster and Etta Rena (Patrick) McFarland; seven sisters, Mattie Taylor, Mae Thompson, Beulah Johnson, Clara Nickerson, Margaret Washington, Rena Foster and Linda Foster; two brothers, Russell Foster and Eli Foster; special friend Gus Lloyd; twenty-two grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, and a host of nieces nephews, other relatives and friends.
