Mr. Thompson will be laid to rest Saturday, November 14, 2015 at United M.B. Church, 18085 Old Highway 80, Edwards, MS. His services will begin at 11:00 a.m. Committal will be at Greenhill Cemetery, Edwards, MS. Visitation will be Friday, November 13, 2015 at Willis and Son Funeral Home, Jackson, MS from 1:00 - 7:00 pm.

Michael Glen Thompson, "Poncho", was born January 8, 1967 to the late Mr. Lewis and Mrs. Eliza M. Thompson of Edwards, Mississippi . He confessed Christ at an early age and attended the St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church in Edwards, Mississippi. He attended Hinds County Agricultural High School where he graduated in 1985.
"Poncho" loved working and took pride in whatever he did on his job. His days were filled with sharing stories of his work-day experiences and the many people he befriended. Poncho was employed by ABM Health Services in the Custodial Services Department at the UMC Medical Center.
On November 10, 2015, "Poncho" transitioned from his earthly life to his eternal life at 5:30 p.m. at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi. He was preceded in death by: his parents, Lewis and Eliza Thompson; his son, LaVernist Sizer; his grandmothers, Alice J. Minor and Minnie L. Thompson and his grandfathers, Walter Minor and Harvey Thompson, Sr.
He leaves to mourn his passing: his sisters, Patricia Nelson (Tommy) of Byram, Mississippi, Charlene and Shirley Thompson, both of Edwards, Mississippi; a brother, Gregory Thompson, of Jackson, Mississippi; one grandchild, Lakiya Sizer of Clinton, Mississippi; five nieces, Towanna, Jamila, Eliza, Quineisha and Jaliyah; five nephews, Michael D., Clifton, (Bro), Ron, Louis, Curtis Lee and Gary; a host of other family, friends and the Hinds County Agricultural High School Class of 1985.
