Mr. Stoke will be laid to rest Saturday, September 13, 2014 at United M. B. Church in Edwards, MS. His services will begin at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, September 12, 2014 (family present 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.).
Obituary
Milton Carl Stokes, Jr. was born December 31, 1971 to the late Milton Carl Stokes, Sr., and Patricia Ann Stokes. He was bless with two children, Shykela Lashay Stokes and Malik Rashad Freeman of Vicksburg Mississippi.
Milton Carl confessed Christ at an early age and joined Water Valley Missionary Baptist Church in Utica, Mississippi. Later in life, when he moved to Edwards, Mississippi he attended Bethel Church of God and Christ.
He attended Mixon Elementary School, Utica, Mississippi, South Park Elementary School, Vicksburg, Mississippi and Hinds Community College, Utica, Mississippi.
He was Preceded in death by his father, Milton Carl Stokes, Sr.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories: mother Patricia Ann Stokes; one daughter, Shykela Lashay Stokes; one son, Malik Rashad Freeman of Vicksburg, Mississippi; two sisters, Felecia Stokes, Cordova, Tennessee and Aeriel (Andrew) Patten, Vicksburg, Mississippi; four brothers, Marcus Stokes, Atlanta, Georgia, Maurice (Andrel) Stokes, Utica, Mississippi, Sedrick (Denise) Allen, Byram, Misssissippi and Deontage Stokes, Hattiesburg, Mississippi; one grandmother, Mary Ann Stokes; he leave nieces, nephews and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
