On September 23, 1936, Percy Myles, Jr., was born to the late Percy James Myles, Sr., and Mary Myles in Edwards, Mississippi of Hinds County.
His great Grandmother Edna Edwards who instilled in him the love of the land and family values reared him. He was baptized at Cherry Grove Church at an early age and also attended Cherry Grove School.
In 1956, Percy moved to Los Angeles, California. He returned back to Edwards, Mississippi and married his childhood sweetheart, MS Earnestine Irving, to this union five girls were born. Percy and his family moved back to California and then to Indianapolis, Indiana where he worked at Wonder Bread Bakery until he returned back to Edwards, Mississippi in 1975. Percy rededicated his life to Christ and joined the Cherry Grove M.B. Church.
In 1982, Percy married the love of his life (His Squaw) Pearl Montgomery and to this union one daughter was born. Percy was ordained as a Deacon of Cherry Grove Church and also served as Treasurer until his health failed him.
Percy retired from Hinds County Public Works after seventeen years of faithful service as a truck driver.
He was preceded in death by his brother; Kay-Arthur Myles. On Sunday, April 26, 2015, the Lord sent a Glorified Messenger to Central Mississippi Hospital with orders to release his soul from its body racked with pain and agony, and caused him to sleep, which only God knows the awakening.
