In 1989,"Sonny" met the love of his life in Atlanta, Georgia, Ivory Jean Jones. On July 7, 1970, Ivory and "Sonny" united in holy matrimony. The mixture of cornbread and a family member, led to twenty-five years of wedding bliss and daily honeymoon. One thing for sure, "Sonny" loved Ivory from A-Z. He loved his wife! "Sonny" cared for his wife and every need she had, was met with divine love and patience. One thing for sure, "Sonny" loved his wife, Ivory from A-Z. One of the most delightful times he shared with the love of his life Ivory, was riding in their car or truck sight-seeing.
"Sonny" has always been a hard worker and devoted family man. He loved bar-b-quing for his family watching cowboy movies, wrestling and loved drinking coffee. Everyone especially loved his Gut-Busters Hamburgers and Grits. The bond he shared with his children and grandchildren was a bond of love and respect. He was so proud of grand-daughter, Jahjie (Marcus) Warner-Bingham, when she graduated from nursing school. The next Sunday, he stood and announced his granddaughter's great accomplishment.
