Willie Lee Taylor was born, February 13, 1939 in Terry, Mississippi to Fred and Clara Taylor. He was the older sibling of one brother.
Willie Lee joined Rocky Springs Missionary Baptist Church in Terry, Mississippi at an early age. He attended Summer Hill in 1958. He was employed at Jackson Packaging Company as an Electrician. He retired from the City of Jackson.
Willie Lee was married to Gloria Taylor and to this union six children were born. He was preceded in death by: his parents, Fred and Clara Taylor; brother, Cecil Taylor; aunt, Carrie Mae Summers and grandparents, Claude and Lillie Moore.
Willie Lee leaves to cherish his precious memory: his loving wife, Gloria Taylor; one daughter, Patsy Taylor of Jackson, Mississippi; sons, Alfred Taylor (Thelma), Willie Lee Taylor, Jr. (Yolanda), Robert Taylor, Curtis Taylor, and Darrolyn Taylor; twenty three grandchildren, twenty one great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Lenora Robinson, Naomi Robinson and Rebecca Robinson; brothers-in-law, John Curtis Robinson, Charles Robinson, Alonzo Wilkerson and Johnny Lee Mangum. He also leaves to cherish precious memories, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends including, six god-daughters, Emma Williams, Angea Jones, Carolyn Denson, Pam Ellington, Cynthia Mangum and Carol Burns.
