Knowing that the real journey begins with the Lord, Mrs. Lloyd confessed her hope in Christ at Little Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Edwards, MS.
Following God's plan, in 1933 she continued her life's journey and united in marriage with Gus Lloyd, Sr., to this union, one son was born.
Mrs. Lloyd journeyed to Los Angeles, CA, and worked for a defense plant. Her journey continued on to Chicago, IL where she reared her son and was employed as a dietician at the University of Illinois for many years. In 1967, she journeyed back to Edwards, MS as a fulltime homemaker.
Mrs. Lloyd was a loving mother, friend, grandmother, and aunt. Most of all, she was a devoted and loving wife for over fifty years to the late Gus Lloyd, Sr. Mrs. Addie Lloyd lived the rest of her journey as a widow believing she "can make it if she try."
