Mrs. Carolyn Jean Harrington age 54 of Berryton, Kansas. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday June 7, 2017 at Greater Mt. Moriah M. B. Church, 3672 Medgar Evers Blvd., Jackson MS at 11:00 a.m.  Visitation will be Tuesday  June 6, 2017 from 1:00  pm until 7:00 pm at Willis and Sons Funeral Home, 5235 Robinson Road Ext, Jackson, MS. Interment at Garden Memorial Cemetery.

Obituary 

Carolyn Jean Harrington was born in Jackson, Mississippi, on February 23, 1963, to the late Alma Lee Harrington Tillman and the late Henry Lee Kimbrough.  She was the oldest of six children.

Carolyn departed this earthy tabernacle on Thursday, May 25, 2017.

Carolyn confessed Jesus Christ as her Lord and personal savior at an early age. She joined Greater Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church in Jackson, Mississippi and later moved her membership to Asbury Mount Olive United Methodist Church in Topeka, Kansas.

Carolyn attended and graduated from Lanier High School in 1981. Her lifelong goal and accomplishment was to be a nurse and help others. Carolyn attended Jackson State University, Oklahoma Wesleyan University, Washburn University and was a graduate of the first graduating class at Hinds Community College Nursing Allied School in Jackson, Mississippi. Carolyn was a nurse at the VA hospital in Topeka, Kansas for over 20 years. She worked at KNI for 11 years as a LPN and TARC. She loved helping others.

Carolyn met and married Willie Glover and to this union three children were born. They later divorced and she met the love of her life, Anthony Griffin, of 20 years until her passing.

Carolyn was proceeded in death by: her father Henry Lee Kimbrough; stepmother Teresia Kimbrough; stepfather James Tillman; maternal grandparents Johnnie and Dorator Kimbrough.

She leaves to cherish her presence and beautiful smile: her mother Alma Tillman; her love Anthony Griffin (Berryton, Kansas); two daughters Kandace Glover (Jackson, Mississippi) and Dineasha Griffin (Topeka, Kansas); three sons Quinton Glover, Denzel Glover and Fabian Griffin all of Topeka, Kansas; a special son Isaiah Porter; seven grandchildren Zaria, Elijah, Elaysia, Zachary, Tyrus, Zoe and Lillian; three sisters Janene (Terrance) Petterson (Tampa, Florida), Mable Kimbrough (Westpoint, Mississippi) and Veronica Stovall (Jackson, Mississipp); two brothers Johnny Kimbrough (Tampa, Florida) and Henry Kimbrough (Carthage, Mississippi) and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
