Obituary

Clemetta  was born on November 1, 1955 to Mrs. Arlene Smith and Sammie Lee Brown. "Clem" was born and raised in Edwards, Mississippi where she attended Edwards Attendance Center. "Clem" graduated from Utica Junior College class of 1976. She accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at St. Mark Church in Edwards, Mississippi.

Born Clemetta Shelby, she married Lafayette Webs of Edwards, Mississippi. From this union Clem was blessed with two sons. In life Clemetta was a force to be reckoned with. She dedicated her life to her family, anyone who knew her, knew she had the kindest, most giving heart. She showed her love by taking care of those around her.

"Clem" served the state of Mississippi for thirty years at Oakley Training School. She retired from Oakley (where she was known simply as "Webb"), after many years of service. Her coworkers all knew and loved Clemetta. Her spirit and her commanding presence contradicted her statue.

Clem was called home to rest on Friday, May 11, 2018 in Atlanta Georgia, after a life well lived. Clemetta was preceded in death by: her grandmother, Mittie Ann Johnson; grandmother, Clemmie Shelby; mother, Arlene Smith; beloved stepfather, Robert "Jack" Smith, Sr. of Atlanta, Georgia; brother, Robert Sidney Smith Jr.; loving mother-in-law, Katie B. Webb and best friend Barbarett Davis.

"Clem" leaves behind to cherish her memory: her siblings, a loving sister, Mittie A. Smith and dear brother, Carl (Mary) Smith of Jackson, Mississippi; sons, who must carry on her legacy, Marcus R. Webb of Edwards, Mississippi and Cawone LaKeith Webb, Sr. of Atlanta, Gerogia; grandchildren (who were her pride and joy), grandsons, Cawone Lakeith Webb, Jr. "Dewey" and Damarcus Webb "Big D", granddaughters, Demicia "MiMi" Brown and Camya Webb; a loving daughter-in-law, Amy Mack Webb; two special nieces, Markeisha Smith and Kamekia Smith; nephews, TraMone Smith, Terrence Smith, Martez Smith, DeJuan Smith and Kenneth Bingham; a host of great nieces and nephews ; a special aunt, Elizabeth Gilmer; a special friend and caretaker, Denise Fitzpatrick and many friends, extended family and coworkers.
