Mrs. Brown will be laid to rest Saturday, September 19, 2015 at New Mount Zion  M.B. Church, Gluckstadt, MS.  Her services will begin at 10:00 a.m.  Committal will be at New Mount Zion Church Cemetary, Gluckstadt, MS.  Visitation will be Friday, September 18, 2015 from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. 

Obituary 
​

Evelyn Price Brown was born March 18, 1925 in Jackson, Mississippi to the union of Innis and Lula Bell Price. Her parents, and husband Bennie Brown preceded her in death.  

Evelyn received her education in Jackson Mississippi.  She later married Bennie Brown and moved to Saint Louis, Missouri.  To this union two children were born, Shirley & Robert.  

Evelyn went to Nursing School and was employed as a LPN at St. Mary's Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri where she worked for 30 years and retired November 21, 1986.

Evelyn loved to read and to bake cakes.  Evelyn loved God and her family.  She touched the lives of many people down through the years.  

Evelyn was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church and then New Light Baptist Church under Pastor Price until her health began to fail.  

On September 12, 2015, Evelyn departed this life.

Evelyn leaves to cherish her memory, one daughter,  Shirley Holbrook of St. Louis, Missouri;  one son, Robert (Doris-Ford) Brown of St. Louis, Missouri; one sister, Lula Bell Hunter of Jackson, Mississippi; two grandsons, Lavelle Robinson and Darren Robinson of St. Louis, Missouri; one granddaughter, Katherine Michelle Brown of St. Louis, Missouri, five great grandchildren, Sharde, Aliyah, Lavelle, Raziya and Darren Robinson, Jr. all of St. Louis, Missouri and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends.
