Obituary
Frazier "Honey" Collins Jones Webb, our beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, relative and friend was called home to be with our Lord on January 14, 2016 at 1230 a.m. God presented her with beautiful wings after 92 years of service in the Lord's army, and she is now in her heavenly home.
"Honey" as she was affectionately known to her family and close friends, was born on April 19, 1923 to Coleman Collins and Willa Powell Collins of Bentonia, Mississippi. She was the fourth child, following her older brother Vernon "Buddy", and older sisters, Bessie "Jitty" Amerson and Councie Willa "BB" Watts.
"Honey" was educated in the Yazoo County, Mississippi school system before her adventurous nature led her to Chicago, Illinois where she attended Wendell Phillips High School. Subsequently, she began her career as a seamstress and fit model working in the clothing industry. During WWII, "Honey" moved to Detroit for a short period, back to Mississippi, and ultimately back to Chicago in the 1940s where she continued to work in the Chicago Loop clothing industry for many years. She was married to Bennie Jones, Jr., and Clifton Webb, both preceded her in death. "Honey" also loved to laugh, loved life, and enjoy life as well. Our hearts are now heavy, but she will forever be in our hearts to comfort us and make us smile again.
Our beloved "Honey" leaves to cherish her memory: her children, Huey P. Jones (Shirley, Eric), Pamela D. Jones (Erica), Anthony D. Jones (Gwen), Elerick C. Jones (Lynette, Ricky, Shanice, Zandria, Isaiah); grandchildren, Eric, Ricky, Erica, Shanice and Juanita Watts; nephews, Albert W. Watts, Jr., Cleophus Amerson and George Coleman Amerson; and a host of grand nieces and grandnephews, relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by her parents and siblings.
