Obituary
Lois was born August 14, 1938 to the late Ulrich and Eula Frazier in Hinds County, Bolton, Mississippi. Lois accepted Christ as her personal Savior at an early age and found her church home at Mt. Bethel Church of Jackson, Mississippi under the leadership of Pastor J.T. Hill. She was an active member of Greater Mt. Bethel Church of Christ Holiness for many years where she served on the Usher Board and as a member of the United Christian Women's Ministry.
Lois was employed as a caregiver to the O'Mire family for over 47 years. She enjoyed her employment and loved the O'Mire's and their children as her own. Ultimately, the shared love, respect and experience bonded the two families as one.
Lois shared an energetic spirit and magnetic smile that attracted so many to her. She loved good food, socializing, and most of all spending time with her family. She kept the most wonderful smile on her face, full of life and laughter that would easily light up the room. God was a very inspirational part of Lois's life and she made sure her family knew Him. She insisted that the family attend church and cultivate a relationship with God. Her family will deeply miss her, but are confidently secured knowing that the Lord has given her great peace and joy eternal.
Lois gracefully transitioned, becoming absent from the body and present with the Lord on Wednesday June 3, 2015 at 10:15 p.m. She was surrounded by her loving family and by her two loving daughters in her final hours at UMMC.
Lois is preceded in death by her parents; son Jerry Kennedy, daughter Cassandra Kennedy-Lawson; grandson Donald Kennedy; two great grandsons Heratio Kennedy Jr., and Heratio Kennedy III; and sister Luretha Taylor-Andrews.
