Mrs. Johnson-McCullah will be laid to rest Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at United Missionary Baptist Church, Edwards, MS.  Her services will begin at 11:00 a.m.  Committal will be at Greenhill Cemetery,  Edwards, MS.  Visitation will be  from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., on Tuesday, May 5, 2015.  

Obituary 

On Monday, April 27, 2015, Lorean winged her fight and reached her final destination.  The journey of Loren Allen Johnson McCullah began on January 9, 1935, when she was born to Leola Jamison Moore and Samuel Moore of Edwards, Mississippi.  Sh was the youngest of three children, and was raised by Sarah Anderson Allen and Wash Allen from infancy to adulthood as their only child. 

Lorean accepted Christ at the age of ten at Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Edwards, Mississippi under the leadership of Reverend L.A. Chatman.  Lorean attended Pleasant Grove Grammar School, Bowman High and Southern Christian Institute.   She married Louis Lee Johnson, Sr., on December 22, 1952.  To this union three children were born, Louis Lee Johnson, Jr., Lynda Johnson and Vivian Johnson.  During "The Great Migration," Lorean and Louis relocated to Chicago in the late  '50s.   Louis passed on February 16, 1963.  Lorean worked for Alden Catalog Company and Delta Airlines, where she retired after 30 years of dedicated services.

Lorean Johnson married Willie McCullah on August 2, 1980, in Broadview, Illinois.  Their children are LaQuita Johnson-Lomax, LaToya Johnsn and Alex McCullah.  Lorean loved the Lord with all of her heart and joined Greater Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church on Mother's Day, May 8, 1960.  Lorean served as Supervisor of the Angelic Choir in the late 1960s.  She was the church announcer since 1960, until her health failed.  Lorean served as President of the Pastor's Aide Club and as a Deaconess.  She was the President of the Progressive Choir, Devotion Leader of the State and District Baptist Convention, and the Church's Beautifying Club.   She was a faithful member who loved Greater Bethlehem and its members.   The were her extended family members for over 50 years.

Known for her ability to hold a conversation, she loved to talk to everyone.  Lorean had a heart of gold and a photographic memory of telephone numbers.  She loved working for God and she loved her Family.  Lorean leaves to celebrate her life a loving husband of 35 years, Willie McCullah; one brother Aubrey Moore, a son, Louis Lee Johnson, Jr., daughters Lynda Johnson, Vivian Johnson, LaQuita Johnson-Lomax (Kenyata), LaToya Johnson and Alexis McCullah; Step daughters Irene Benson and Cynthia McCullah; granddaughters Stephanie Daniels, Takita Daniels, Charity Burnley, Kendreia Johnson, Breannah McCullah, and Londynn McCullah; grandsons, Kenyata Lomax, Devin Green, Kobly Lomax and Mekhi Strong; five great grandchildren and a niece, nephews, a host of cousins and extended family.
