Services
Mrs. Thompson will be laid to rest Saturday, April 5, 2014 Society Ridge Missionary Baptist Church in Pocahontas, MS at 11:00 a.m. Committal will be at Society Ridge Church Cemetery. Her services will begin at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, April 4, 2014.
Obituary
Mrs. Louise J. Thompson was born August 24, 1937 in Hinds County. She confessed Christ at an early age at Mt. Zion M.B. Church and later joined Society Ridge M.B. Church where she served as a loyal and faithful servant. On November 6, 1955 she united in Holy matrimony to Mr. Augusta Thompson who preceded her in eternal life. Mrs. Thompson entered into rest on March 31, 2014 at 3:00 a.m. at her earthly home.
She leaves to cherish her memories 9 children: Lillian Henderson (Charles); L.E. Younger (TV); Judy Thompson; Ann Winters (Gregory); Virdelle Thompson; David Thompson; Telmon Thompson and Dopher Thompson all of Jackson, MS and Louise Almo from Baton Rouge, LA. She also had one sister that preceded her in eternal life, Ms. Maggie Jackson. She has one sister-in-law, Mrs. Feebie Thompson; step-son Lee Samuel Thompson (Ree), Jackson, MS; step-daughter Thelma Williams, (Chicago, IL); a host of grand and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews and a close friend Ms. Carletta Williams.
