Funeral arrangements have been scheduled, visitation is scheduled for Friday, September 29, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., at Willis & Sons Funeral Home, 5235 Robinson Road Ext, Jackson, Mississippi. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, September 30, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church 2901 Good Hope Road, Edwards, Mississippi. Interment at Chapel Hill Cemetery, Edwards, MS.

Bessie Mae Richardson was born on February 9, 1924 in Raymond, Mississippi to the late Tom Bailey and Elizabeth Bailey. God transitioned Bessie to her new home on Sunday, September 24, 2017. She joined church at an early age at Champion Hill of Bolton, Mississippi and moved her membership to Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church where she remained until departing this life.
She was married to the late Sam Richardson. She is also preceded in death by two sons; one daughter; one brother, John Bailey; and five sisters, Sarah Kimble, Mirah Bailey, Catherine Brown, Ruth Duncan, and Josephine Wilson.
Bessie leaves to mourn her passing: her children, Ozell Bailey (Leola), Elizabeth Baker, Overseea MC Richardson (Flora), Elder Thomas Richardson (Llily), Ollie M. Guice (Joe), Charles Richardson (Margaret), Willie Richardson, Elmer Richardson, Jarvis Richardson (Doris), Mary Russel (John) and Luberta Logan (Wilbert); one sister, Alice Dixon; one brother, Luch Bailey; fifty grandchildren; and a host of great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
