Services
Ms. Durham will be laid to rest Saturday, January 2, 2016 at St. Mark Baptist Church, 704 Cemetery Road, Edwards, MS. Her services will begin at 11:00 a.m. Committal will be at Green Hill Cemetery, Edwards, MS. Visitation will be Friday, January 1, 2016 from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

"A Time To Be Born"
Dorothy Mae Thompson-Durham was born to the late Jimmie Thompson and Mae Dorothy Thompson of Edwards, Mississippi on July 5, 1954. She was the youngest of four siblings.
"A Time To Live"
Dorothy Mae accepted Christ at an early age at St Mark Missionary Baptist Church where she desired to serve on the Usher Board but was unable to due to her disability. She graduated from the Mississippi School for Deaf in Jackson, MS. She was united in holy matrimony to Walter Lee Durham and to this union three children were born: Hope, Heather and Brittney Durham.
Dorothy Mae was a Godly woman who served others in her new walk with Christ. She was a woman of humility who exhibited the love of Christ through her actions. Her caring personal touch the heart of those who came into contact with her. She was a loving faithful wife, mother, sister and daughter who provided unconditional support, encouragement, and love to all who knew her and will greatly missed.
"A Time of Home Going"
God beckoned for Dorothy Mae to bid farewell to this earthly mission. She ascended into her heavenly home on December 28, 2015 at Baptist Hospital at 12:50 pm.
Dorothy Mae was preceded in death by her father Jimmie Thompson and sibling Martha Franklin.

Dorothy Mae leaves to cherished her beautiful memories: her devoted mother Mae Dorothy Thompson, her loving husband Walter Lee Durham of Edwards, MS: Three Daughters Hope C. Durham and Heather L Durham both of Edwards, MS and Brittney (Curtis) Phinisee of Japan, and two brothers Oscar Thompson and Justin "Tiger" Wilson both of Edwards, MS. six grandchildren Shannon J. Thompson, Dexter K. Thompson, Jerrica J. Thompson, Gabriyale A. Thompson, Kaden A. Thompson and Curtis R. Phinisee Jr.; seven brother-n-laws and seven sister-n-laws and host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and loving friends.
