Ms Henry will be laid to rest Saturday, February 14, 2015 at Christ Tabernacle Church Jackson, MS.   Her services will begin at 11:00 a.m.  Visitation will be on Friday, February 13, 2015, from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Willis and Sons Funeral Home.

Obituary

On February 4, 2015, God let me know that my mansion in heaven was completed and I could move in.  He told me to go ahead and change my address!  Well,  my new home is finished and what a sight to behold!!  It is located on an exclusive estate area behind the Pearly Gates.   This is now my home!

Ms. Hope Rena Henry was born on February 11, 1967 to Ms. Johnnie Mae Gaddis and Mr. Henry Lee Hankins.  At an early age, she confessed her hope in Christ at White Rock Baptist Church and later on she joined Christ Tabernacle Church.  She graduate from Forest Hill High School in 1985.  She attended Hinds Community College, Nursing Allied Center and Virginia College.  She was employed by Mississippi State hospital for 16 years.  She was also employed by Dr. Cassandra Thomas at Central Jackson Medical Clinic.  Upon her passing she was employed at Jackson Hinds 
Comprehensive Health Center (JHCHC).  

Hope departed this life on Wednesday, February 4, 2015, at University Medical Center.  She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Mr. James Henry and Mrs. Willie Lee Henry.  

She leaves to cherish her memory:  her children, Destinee "Dee Dee" Marie and Samuel Demond Young (Jackson, MS).  Mother, Johnnie Mae Gaddis (Jackson, MS);  Father, Bishop Henry Lee Hankins (Willie Mae) (Jackson, MS); a sister, Shirley G. Wilson and a brother, Tracey Brown (Jackson, MS); three step-sisters:  Rose L. Guerrero (Jackson, MS); Katrina Ware, Alicia H. Harts (Memphis, TN), and one step-brother, Henry L. Hankins, Jr. (Jackson, MS).  One uncle, James Baker and Mary Thompson all of Jackson, MS  and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and a special friend, Mr. Reggie Smith (Jackson, MS).

I would like to express my deepest sympathy to the family of Hope Henry. I will remember her beautiful smile, her sharp wittiness and her loving and caring words of encouragement to me. I will never forget such a beautiful lady, my friend, Hope Henry. Family please be comforted and remember to TRUST God for direction.

Hope I was just in disbelief when I heard you had past... I went to Jackson Hinds today and ask about you they told me a year ago today that you had pas . Buddy you are truly miss I'll never forget our days at Texaco
