Ms. Ruby Lee Paige, funeral Services will be held on Saturday, July 20, 2019 at Strait Way Ministries 1049 Gonia Rd, Utica, MS at 11:00 a.m.  Visitation will be Friday, July 19, 2019  from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p. m. at Willis and Sons Funeral Home 5235 Robinson Rd Ext., Jackson MS.   Interment:  ​Paige Grove Cemetery, Utica, MS

A Wife, A Mother, A Worrior for the Lord

The angels on high added a member to its Calvary when God saw fit to call home one of his diligent warriors.  On Thursday, July 11, 2019 the final trump sounded as the work of Ruby Lee Paige in this life had been completed.   Ruby Lee Paige was born on June 26, 1948 to the late Mr. and Mrs. Aaron C. Ferguson, Jr. in Learned, MS.

A worker, a mother, a sister, a warrior, are a few adjectives to describe the imprint and legacy left by Ruby on this world.  She accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Paige Grove Missionary Baptist Church where she was a faithful member.   Granny, Aunt Ruby, Ms. Ruby, Sister Ruby and Momma are a gew of the names she was affectionately know as. If you needed a ride, she was there, if you were hungry, she had a plate, if a church requested a representative she was in the pew.  A true pillar of the community, Ruby loved all and was loved by all.

Ruby L. Paige received her education from the Hinds County School District.   She was a proud graduate of the Hinds Agricultural High School class of 1967.  She later did additional studies at Utica Junior College in Utica, MS.

In 1967 she married her lifelong partner O. L. Paige, Sr., to this union, four dynamite children were born.  The late Anthony Keith Paige, Dexter Lamar Paige, O. L. Paige, Jr., and Particia Ann Johnson.

She was preceded in death by her father, Aaron Ferguson, Jr., mother, Ella Ferguson, one sister, Myra Harris, two brothers, Willie B. Ferguson and Paul Ferguson, a son, Anthony K. Paige.

Ruby leaves to cherish her memories, her loving husband, O. L. Paige, Sr., rwo sons:  Dexter L. Paige (Rosalyn) and O. L. Paige, Jr., both of Utica, MS, one daughter, Patricia Ann Johnson (Ivon) of Utica, MS, eleven beloved grandchildren:  Tamara Harris, Katelyn Bennett, Corey Sterling, Sophia Carson, Jamal Randall, Justyce Moore, Dexter Paige, Jr., Andrew Paige, Destiny Paige, Madyson McGill, and Ian Johnson, five great-grandchildren:  Jaythonee Harris, Se'mya Armstrong, Kayden, Alana and Rylee Bennett, two sisters:  Ella McGowan and Rosie McGowan (Bobby) both of Utica, MS;  two brothers, Aaron C. Ferguson, III (Angela) of Jacksonville, FL and Robert Ferguson ( Natasher) of Utica, MS, a special God-given daughter, Kamille Johnson, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, church family, neighborhood family, adopted children and countless dear friends.
